Juxtapositions of shape
Balance of thirds

These sensations of the eye
Become meaning in my mind
And beauty in my being

Don’t tell her to smile
Not now nor in twenty years
Let her moment be

The thunderous sea
The ravaged beach
The turbulent sky

And I on my buffeted perch
Witness to all this tumult

Moved, again, by wonder

Conspiracy
Subdues the sun
Technology
Makes of it moon

Shimmering waves
This cloudy night
The stars have failed
In skies too bright

With a rose
And the candle’s glow
Day seduces the night

Is there anything more reassuring
Than the love shared and amplified
By a gathering of family and friends

Departed

Lingering

Glory

How could such small things
Cause so much trauma
To something so big as me?

Symmetry in asymmetry
Random chance and physical law
Ordered chaos is nature’s art

The sea comes, reaching for me
Not alone with foamy wave

But feel the beckoning
Which stirs my being

As if ’twas yesterday
Ancestral tribes departed her for land
