An aperture always defines
The world within its frame
By what it includes
By what it excludes
By the format of its frame
By the point of view
By the tones it renders
By the subject it chooses

I am drawn to a small dab
A weld attaching the “5” to the sphere
Why am I drawn there?

My eye wants to take in the “5”
To follow curves
Explore hard edges
Take in textures

Gazing into infinity

But perched here

To where the sea

I am calmest
Where the ocean breaks
On a hard shore

Where waves crash onto jagged rock
Foaming
Each breaker a crescendo
Of thunderous water

The way time
Chance

Seven towers guide the sun into the morning sky
The didjeridu rumbles under my fingertips
A rumble which extends down into my chest
Thrums under my sternum
My body, electric, vibrates with the energy of life

A point light of spirit

Where all of us are one
But many lost in darkness
