In the twilight
With the day gone by
And darkness hovers on the nigh
Celestial neighbours come out to play
Remind us of our community
In this little corner of the galaxy
And though they seem
So very, very far
Not much closer than the nearest star
When sol’s tucked in for the night
Stars and galaxies dot the skies
I see the infinity these comprise
Celestial Neighbours
Howe Sound toward Bowen Island and Vancouver

Shot from an unofficial pullout along Highway 99, the Sea to Sky Highway in British Columbia, Canada. This drive between Vancouver an Whistler is among the world’s most scenic. And I have the fortunate opportunity to travel (and photograph) it often. Every now and again, it offers up visual gems such as this moonlit night with Venus and Mars in alignment.
