On Stars and Moons

I lie back upon the grass
Beneath a clear night sky
Wond’ring at the vastness

In a tiny dot
Of twinkling light
A hundred billion stars reside

The moon slides by
Smiling at me

Full and proud
Chest puffed out

A tiny ball of dust and rock

And billions more in just that dot

I wonder then
At two small eyes

They gaze upon
The universe

And in the sky
Of nighttime black
Amidst a sea of stars

One is twinkling
Called The Milky Way
And in that dot am I
