What better moment
Can there be
Than when my eyes
Can see
All the many colours
That can be
Perhaps only
That moment
When I can love
All the many colours
That are me

Day 30 … Made it! Yay! ❤
Visiting the friend in Santa Barbara who tempted me in 1998 with a cycle tour in China. I ended up spending six and a half months there, and covered 6,000 kilometers. Most of it solo.
The afternoon was beautifully calm that day, so we headed to the park in the day’s waning hours and caught this spectacular sunset.
Sunsets always cause a bit of spiritual swoon form me. ❤
So, today, for the sunset day of NaPoWriMo a simple little affirmation of a poem.
What is NaPoWriMo?
National Poetry Writing Month. AKA GloPoWriMo for Global Poetry Writing Month because, you know, it’s a worldwide event. During the month of April, poets challenge themselves to write at least one poem a day, every day, for the entire month. So, 30 poems in 30 days.
If you’d like to join in, or just want to learn more about this annual poetry writing event, the more-or-less official website is NaPoWriMo.net.
I am also one of the admins for a small, private FB group, NaPoWriMo/GloPoWriMo 2025 if you want to follow other poets on their journey. Just click “Join”.
