Beauty Creates Consequence

Beneath the streets and buildings of Montreal lies the Underground City, a vast network of shops and restaurants interconnected by the Metro subway system and long, often remote, passages and hallways. While many are rather utilitarian in appearance, straight shafts with simple tiled surfaces, others aspire to something more architecturally distinctive, apparently for no more reason than to be beautiful.
