  It was a spectacular day on Chesterman Beach. Every time I’ve been here before, this bit of rock was connected to the beach by a sandbar. The tide was high, and waves broke from both left and right across the shallow sand bar. The wind blew fierce, ripping the spray off the tops of the colliding waves. I shot some video on my phone I should post. But it was even more dramatic than this photograph implies. =)

  Indeed, I did have to measure my patience taking this photograph. It took a couple or three dozen exposures to catch the right moment. And that 35mph wind was cooooold!
