Yearning for its time
To become an open truth
When time came
Truth was a flood
Which swept the world clean
And like the river Nile
After the waters recede
Fertile ground remained
A gift
Of the tide
Of reckoning

As the article alludes, the water has been rising since the January Women’s March the day after Trump’s inauguration. Call this swelling tide a reciprocal backlash directed at the backlash against women’s rights and dignity — an assault in itself — which was Trump’s campaign, and the ensuing actions of the Trump administration and GOP-controlled House and Senate.
Weinstein? Weinstein is just the point at which the levee broke. Long may the flood flow, until the status quo is swept away, leaving only the fertile ground on which to begin anew.
