She Danced

She danced
As if everyone was watching
And all they wanted
Was to see her dance

She danced
As if every word she’d ever spoken
Could be translated
To a gesture, a swirl, or a twirl

She danced
And all I knew was
I wanted to be there on the dance floor
With her, now and forever
