Howe Sound Blues ~ Pix to Words & Song

I live in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, while spending many of my weekends in the resort town of Whistler. One of the world’s great drives, The Sea to Sky Highway, links the two with a twisty, climby, viewy stretch of asphalt. About half of it snakes along the steep mountainous shoreline of Howe Sound.

So I get to drive this beautiful highway somewhere approaching one hundred times a year. I often stop, along the way — sometimes to collect photographs, and sometimes just to stop and take it all in.

Hardly a drive passes without an opportunity to reflect, photograph or simply enjoy the beautiful tone all that exquisite scenery sets for my state of mind.

No surprise that it proves to be such a source of words, too.
