Months later
While editing
Curiosity piqued

Google “KETOPRAK”
Now I wish we’d stopped
And tried one

A journey
Once begun
Never ends

Overlapping
Those that follow
With belated discovery

But no regrets
For just another
Missed opportunity

Sometimes the light
     Seems very far
And the way
     So dark and perilous
And the path
     Occluded mystery

I remind myself
     Just take a step
I remember
     Where every journey begins
I find my courage
     In the many paths already taken

I’ve held the light
     before
I’ve made my way
     before
I’ve found the path
     before

I will hold the light
again

Sometimes

I’m confronted with it
So big
So far to go

So little time
How will I explore it all
How will I get there

A step
At a
Time

I don’t know
Just how far
That will take me

Whether
It will be
To the end

So best
To not
Stand still

I intend
To cross this barrenness
Knowing not what awaits
On the other side
Or if there is
An other side
I can reach

I journey into unknown lands
Seeking the roads
Which take me deep

Where there are no maps
I keep faith
I’ll find my way

Where there are no roads
I keep faith
I can forge my own

And there they are
The fabled range
Faded in the distant haze
Peaks too far to reach today

Life has always been
A journey

When I feel drained
Mentally, physically, spiritually
I quiet my mind
Allow my body to speak

I give us solitude
Connect to the battery
That is nature
And draw from her infinite energy

When travelling
I may know the road I am on
And even where it goes
But am always surprised
Where it takes me
