Swallowed whole
By the leviathan

An expanse
Improbably wide
Impossibly flat
Exceptionally fertile

Here am I 
On a strip of gravel
Running forever
North and south
Feel no larger
Than the pebbles 
Crunching underfoot
In the dust

And no more significant
