In a land criss-crossed sparingly by roads
Some asphalt, most gravel
Many traversable only on foot
I seek the high ground
To watch the dawn photons
In their ambient amber
Illuminate the vast expanse of atoms
That are rock and atmosphere and life itself
Some asphalt, most gravel
Many traversable only on foot
I seek the high ground
To watch the dawn photons
In their ambient amber
Illuminate the vast expanse of atoms
That are rock and atmosphere and life itself
There are rare moments of connection
When I can “see” all that is
Know that I am some infinitesimal
Physical
Small part of it all
Inconsequential in substance
Infinite in existence
At one with experience
At once, everything and nothing
A manifestation of spirit
Unlocatable in space or time
While this small ball of atoms
Spins relentlessly around its minor star
In a pretty little galaxy
Far removed from the centre
Of anything
I am struck
By immensity
And nothingness
