Along the Mother Road

The stops along the road
They come and go
And sometimes come again

Though when they do
They’re not the same

But when they’re gone
They’re lost forever

I took this photo back in ’97, when the U Drop Inn was between the state of “come and go” and “sometimes come again”.

The U Drop Inn is among the many roadside attractions still standing along Route 66. Though its function now is a living museum for those on a nostalgia trip along the old Mother Road.
