Sometimes
I wonder
If I know this planet
At all
I wonder
If I know this planet
At all
Of course
I often manage
To imagine something
Stranger still
Of course
I often manage
To imagine something
Stranger still
Consumes
Valleys
Distant
Choking
Smoke
Creates
Pastel
Twilight
Artistry
Calm
Lake
Okanagan
Beautiful
Were it a morning mist
Or a shroud of fog
Pierced by morning sun
But smoke permeates the atmosphere
Even the train compartment
In which I ride
With every breath
Smoke
But even if
You’re nowhere near
The sky is filled
With smoke
Smokey atmosphere
Acrid in my nose
Stinging my eyes
Clogging my lungs
