White water falls away
A stream of sibilance
Embraced in verdance
Here I, find peace in this day
Even as the rain
Drizzles through the canopy
Embraced in patterns of nature
I dismantle patterns of self
Trouble falls away
White water falls away
A stream of sibilance
Embraced in verdance
Here I, find peace in this day
Even as the rain
Drizzles through the canopy
Embraced in patterns of nature
I dismantle patterns of self
Trouble falls away
From the chaos, rise
Rebuild on patterns scattered
Within the broken
Some will argue for the flow
Some will argue for the current
I remind myself
Step back to appreciate the whole
Evaluate the emergent patterns
Given an opportunity to observe
Beyond the confines of existing paradigms
Seek the possibility of a new way
Fir and cedar, conifers
And alder with its lighter leaf
Like steps of cones
All feathery
But my lens
Sees everything
Grand patterns lost
In details keen
In form
In structure
In colour
In time
Beauty pens her poetry
Deftly in the nature of things
