Entwined with nature
The sea surrounding
The forest abutting
The mountains above

Vancouver
Gateway
To the outdoors

Adventure’s
Threshold

My city

In the ocean blue
A reflection
Of a sky long lost
To the wake of progress

Joy
Grace
Gratitude
Generosity:
Love

May these fill
Your holiday
Your every day
Your life

And the lives of those
Who share your days

She sang
With all her heart
She sang

Though the power
In her voice came

From the moments
Between words
Between songs
In quiet introspection

Ripsaw peaks
Sunder ice
This land distressed
And yet at peace
Beguiles spirit
Releases soul
Inner silence
Serenity

For some
The mountains
Are there to ascend

For others
The ascent climaxes
With a beginning

Sometimes
The ecstasy
Is in the descent

Early season
Symphony of snow
Graceful waltzing arcs
Vigorous staccato bumps
Rhythms and melodies
Of edge and wax

What goes up
Gets to come down

Magic hour
Magic light
A beauty
Awe inspired

Closing eyes
Inward look
A glimmer
Heart inspired

Deeper still
Magic light
