Molten Star

Molten star upon horizon
Lava flows across the sea
Saviour’s beacon
Rendered feeble
Until the night
Calls out to me

I was taught
All glories
Soon enough
Will pass

Until I
Understood
Everything
Is glory

Sunset and the Sea
Calms my mind
Like a deep breath

Frees my heart
Like a lover’s kiss

Spirit’s favourite playground

At the intersection
Of darkness and light
I discover rainbows

Ignited by an
Inner glow I take flight and
Rise free from his hand

Rooted to the ground
Yet swimming into the sky
Flight of fantasy

Raindrops falling
On a fountain
Adds an instrument
To a song

Photographs remind us
Of all the life we’ve lived
And all the time
Which passed between

In a life
Of some many ecstasies
Epiphanies
And divine moments
Some linger longer
If only because
The light was perfect
And I had a camera

In the darkness
Even a circle of confusion
Offers illumination
