When all I bring
Is imagination
And a little inspiration…
I found this map
Of Cassiopeia
Fourth planet circling
Alpha Andromedae
With instructions
For activating
The wormhole
At Stonehenge
I found this map
Of Cassiopeia
Fourth planet circling
Alpha Andromedae
With instructions
For activating
The wormhole
At Stonehenge
I crouch down
Inch forward
Lie flat
Wiggle further
And as I near the very edge
A chalk covered hand
Comes over the top
Taking a firm grip
it said, in a staccato burst of bold white stencils the building’s entire length. Eight windows sheathed in brown plywood, each with a stencil, right in the center.
A stencil, and bills. A few, or a pattern of eight or more. Posters posted over the admonition, over the order, “POST NO BILLS”.
She found that sad
The world was a more beautiful place
When magical creatures danced
A shame no one else knew the magic
And I couldn’t see her at all
Well, what I saw was fractured
Misaligned
But that wasn’t her
It was all I could see
“I hope at least one of them is,” I dead-panned.
She giggled, “Only in a good way!”
He snuggled in
Rested his chest
Against her heart
Which she loved
With her sails all torn
The great tall ship
Her tiller shorn
She broke her back
Upon the stone
