Walking alone
It is harder
To find the light
It is harder
To find the light
While the light
Clings to them all
Clings to me
Clings to my mind
Clings to my heart
I reach down, deep
Pull back the sand
To reveal beauty
Unimaginable
Until I looked through a lens
Clicked the shutter
And took the latent image home
To explore the possibilities
Leaves submerged
Under tangled reflections
On a night lit fantastic
The tree, is real
The leaves have fallen from it
Rain has flooded the forest floor
Until one day thought I
Perhaps the dark is just unknown
In need of light
And wanting an explorer
But I am learning
To see beauty
In all that I can see
All I need
Is to open my eyes
Remembering
That by “eyes”
I mean heart
