Space to stretch out
Space to breathe

Making space
For what comes next

They dive below
A place called
Sea to Sky
Explore a world
Few eyes will see
Hidden
Underneath
A land of
10,000 photographs

Sometimes
I’ll take the lesser fork
Though I know not where it goes
Or what I’ll see
Or if I’ll find my way
To wherever I was going

Sometimes
I think
The road unknown
Explores as much
The me I do not know
Which is all the more enticing
Than the me I believe is me

Roadtrips take me away
Not to where I am going
Only from where I was

A roadtrip is best
Without clear destination
Without a timeline

The land rolls
Like waves across the sea
Like the grasses
In staccato breeze

And there go we
Like sailors
Over the rolling land
Into unknown worlds

I am drawn to a small dab
A weld attaching the “5” to the sphere
Why am I drawn there?

My eye wants to take in the “5”
To follow curves
Explore hard edges
Take in textures

The difference
Between a boundary
And a frontier
Is a trick of the mind
