Repaired
Revitalized
Restored
Overhauled
Renewed
Jacked up
Revved up
Supercharged

Like That
Stolid
Fierce
Impenetrable
l saw you like that
From time to time
Brow drawn down
Eyes narrow
Squinting
Arms crossed tightly
Interlocked
A ward
A shield
A wall
A fortress
Footprints in the Sand
Leaving impressions
Footprints in the sand
Thinking
I’m leaving my mark
A few gentle waves
Erase a footprint
A sustained wind
Fills it with sand
Impressions
Are ephemeral
As am I
Oddity
The unusual
The idiosyncratic
I love being
In the places
I might only imagine
From a sci-fi author’s words
I love to photograph them
Then tweak the image
To enhance
Their oddity
Patterns in the Chaos
Patterns in the chaos
When order emerges
From disorder
I try not to mind
Immersion into chaos
When the irregular
Overcomes the regular
These are all
Fundamental states of being
And who am I
To argue with reality
Ripples
In the pool of being
Casting ripples
I do not see
They spread
Interact with the ripples of others
Creating interference
Patterns of confusion
They rise to become waves
Washing over the lives of others
Sometimes pummeling them
Like breakers on the shore
Somnambulant Blues
Settle onto silent sound
Lazy breezes ruffle gentle ripples
Lapping languid shorelines
And I
I have run out of
Unsubtle intertwining alliterations
So I kick back
And enjoy this glorious moment
Glory
With the sunlight cascading
Through the clouds
Across the mountains
Onto the valley floor
Revealing greens
And blues
Ambers and golds
While the clouds
So softly textured
Puffs of greys and whites
Vibrance and Beauty in the Darkness
Even in desperate places
During the darkest times
A vibrancy to life
A beauty of expression
Which fills emptiness
Overcomes despair
Brings purpose
Meaning
Hope
And love
To existence
Dawn or Apocalypse
Which take me back in time
Or is it forward?
I don’t know
Is this the dawn of time?
Or apocalypse?
The beginning of life?
Or the end of it?
