Each illuminating
The world in its own way
But the light which guides me
Burns from within
And from there illuminates
My true path in the world
But the light which guides me
Burns from within
And from there illuminates
My true path in the world
Will it be a photograph
In your mind, an epitaph
Or the sound of my lost laugh
The way they dance
Into the day
Lively and so cheerful
My eyes, they cannot see
The fine details
In just a narrow band
Of frequencies
I reach down, deep
Pull back the sand
To reveal beauty
Unimaginable
So I wonder
Am I sure to reach my goal
At the end of this valley
The path may be obscured
I may lose my way
Or become disoriented
I re-encountered Buddha
Long obscured for me
Made strange by the confines
Of my culture familiar
I captured several dozen images from Chesterman Beach, and they have proven a great source of inspiration for poems and stories, a series from which I share five examples here
