Sometimes I feel
Like the universe swallowed me whole
Without even the discomfort of a burp

So I close my eyes
Breathe in deep

Until all that is fills me up

When you are swallowed by the universe do you have a feeling of time standing still? It’s an interesting thought. I love the Oregon coast and you captured it in your photo.

  It’s an odd thing that the feeling of being infinitesimally small is often accompanied — simulatneously — by the sense of being intimately connected to everything in the universe and, so it goes, being infinitely immense as well.

  It's not so much that time stands still, it's that time is a construct of physical manifestation so, as I'm a little bit stepping outside the limits of such physical constraints by becoming a part of everything, time begins to lose its meaning … and immediacy.

    I get what you’re saying Patrick! Time is (feels?) relative, a human construct. Feeling connected to everything can be both expansive and minimizing yet ultimately freeing.
