  I’ve just begun working on a gallery exhibition to launch toward the end of August. It will feature the images and words I’ve been posting on this blog. I’m planning on making this post the centrepiece of the show.
  
  Each of the six panes will be printed on its own stretched canvas frame, and mounted to the wall, overlapping, as seen here.
  
  But, I had a problem: there was no poem for this one… yet. Ooops! Fortunately, I sat for a bit with the image, and these words came pretty quickly. I’m very happy to hear they resonated with you. =)
  
  I’m also really glad they came in the form of six couplets. I’ll print each couplet on its own canvas frame, then mount them from left to right below the Goosenecks image, one couplet below each panel, overlapping and following the wave pattern of the panels above. The whole presentation, poem and photo panels, will measure just under 8′ wide and 3.6′ tall. Should be pretty epic. =)
  
  I’ve been wanting to print this image as separate canvas panels for over 20 years now. I guess this is the right moment, because I think the poem will make the presentation just that much stronger. I’m very excited.
  
  This has been printed once before, as you see it here, on a single sheet of 6’X4′ canvas. That was pretty epic, too, especially as it was commissioned for a memorial patch on the Aids Quilt, way back in November, 2000. I was so honoured.

    Quick update… the gallery show will most likely shift to later in August… opening the 22nd or so, with a launch the following weekend, August 25th.

Very beautiful photos here in my home state. I hate to admit that I have never heard of the park. Thanks for the wonderful words and the education.

  It’s an incredible viewpoint, Tim, not so very far from Monument Valley, and adjacent to the Valley of the Gods. It’s also not too far from the climb up the ziggurat at Moki Dugway, which is also spectacular, with an expansive view of the Valley of the Gods. Some posts with pics of that here.
  
  Some of the most awe inspiring natural vistas in the world are found within Utah state lines. I love it there.
