Gone Fishin’

For the light

The waft of
Lazy water
In the air

A worm
A hook
A bobber

A length of string
And a stick

Contented child
All summer long

Love how the photo looks both like it could be the scene a fish sees from below the water or the way a child would see a stream from above.

This makes me remember a lake I use to play at way way back. Nicely done. I love the picture, too. It looks like a painting.

  <smile> I’m glad that memory comes through to you, because it’s probably much like the memory of my own I was trying to express.
  
  The image is a digitally manipulated photograph; an impressionistic paint filter has been applied. It’s a pretty sophisticated filter, so the paint has thickness with highlights and shadows. You can see this in the sunburst. (The original photograph is of a Moroccan-style wall with light streaming through it, something like the image in this post: Going Light.)
