The Narrowing Road

The path I travel
Narrows in
The valley steepens
Clouds draw low
The road unmapped
The way obscured

But there is no small beauty here
The glory of the world at hand
A land unknown now to explore
Resolute I take a step
And then the next
Wondering ’bout the bend ahead
How many steps to what’s beyond
