Squirrel

Sometimes, like a child, I
Squint my eyes
To blur the world
A greener green
And crimson reds
To another realm go I

There I see
Some small creature stand
Up on hind legs
With flicking tail
It looks at me
And chirps a bit

No matter now
How hard I squint
Sometimes a squirrel
Is just a squirrel
