The Uncluttered I

I miss the desert
Its clarity
Its stillness
Its silent challenge

I miss the uncluttered I
Standing alone
In an expanse of sand

The rustle of the hot breeze
A soothing ruffle
Flows over the undulations
Of my being
Writhing free of the skin
Which has cocooned me
Confined me
Now released
