The Space Between

The space between
The dark and light
Is sometimes just
A narrow gap

And in this lies
A beauty plain
Where truth is told
In high relief

No shadow cast
No grey to mask
On one side white
The other black

So like the yin
Wrapped ’round the yang
A circle closed
Upon the one

I see the world
In balance true
Without the dark
There can’t be light
