This is the shot I’d wanted to take a couple of nights ago, when I shot They Wait. All but impossible without a tripod. So I carried mine all day yesterday, walking for kilometers through the massive Chandni Bazaar, and on the packed-closer-than-this metro trains, just for this shot.
The one motionless cabbie wanted very much to be in the shot, and well defined also. It took him several exposures, coming back to the camera to see the result, to understand the concept of a 3 second long exposure which made the hectic traffic on the road and the sidewalk disappear, but for a stream of light in the background.
I think I like They Wait more, in the end. But… this one was worth the effort.
