Some Distant Sunset

The heat
Of some distant sunset
Ignites steel rails
Red and yellow hot

While light breezes
Shimmer on the sea
Settling snow to Earth
From branch and bough
Where it once rested

While I
Contemplate the peace
Of one small moment
In which nothing of import
Or significance
Imposes upon tranquility
