Winter Crescent

Crisp and calm
I shiver at the camera’s side
Ever so gently, I try
Release the shutter

But there it is
The little jiggle
In the capturing moment
Where the house light doubles

Only I will notice, too
The crescent moved
As did the evening star
And the clouds

All elapsed
In just a few seconds
While I warmed my hands
On this winter crescent night
