Sparkle

Vancouver Night, From Cypress Mountain Lookout, West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
It sparkled like a sequined dress
Under party lights
A night you don’t confess

But there, above, a brooding cloud
Foreboding sight
And, by the morn’, a looming shroud

So as the city partied on
The fog closed in
The dress was gone

For this week’s WordPress Photo Challenge: It’s Not This Time of Year Without…. Because, what would November and December in Vancouver be without low brooding clouds and fog?

And what would the holiday season be without the parties and hangovers and drunken forays into ill-considered sexual rendezvous?

Either way, in the morning the sparkle’s gone. <wink>
