Stories from another time

These stories
From another time
As if they’re mine
They speak to me

A hunter seeking
Sustenance
What simpler story
Can there be

Like me, he loved
And sometimes hated
Like me, he laughed
Despaired, felt fated

Ten thousand years,
Or more, can pass
The actors change
The stories last

This man who walked
A different world
Yet shares the path
For each unfurled

Though many paths
Through many worlds
They’re all the same
And so are we
