Stagecoach Motel

As night drops down
Headlights on the road
Looking for a bed
A shower

Stale cigarettes
And mildew
Saggy mattress
Flickering lights

Just one night
On the road

Then another
And another

Days on the road
Nights in motels

But the road
Is worth it

Perhaps, but still
I prefer to camp
