Buddhas Long Forgotten

In this realm
Of time and change
And buddhas long forgotten

I sit
Then breathe
To quiet mind
Of learnings misbegotten

This land once rose
And then it fell
By men of mind besotten

Though the bricks
Have long since rotted
With this place
I am besotted

For here I feel
I cleanse my heart
Of all of me that’s rotten
