Mountain Village, Mae Hong Song Loop, Northern Thailand

How little I need

On a drive
Through the beautiful mountains
Of a third-world country

I visited
Many towns and villages
Where people lived in what I called poverty

The more I drove
The more I realized how much I have
But how little of it I need

A very big step
In learning what is me and essential
And what is not me and superfluous

A very big step
On my path to understanding
What true wealth is

I admire the people who understand what is important in life. And I love that being among such people inspires me, reminds me, teaches me what is truly important.
