Seeming Small

I love a city
Which allows itself
To seem small

So that its setting
In all its glory
Becomes the tale

I love the people
Who allow themselves
To seem small

So those in their company
In all their glory
Can shine

Such humility
Seems very large
To me

Vancouver
And the North Shore mountains
From English Bay
British Columbia, Canada
