Alcatraz

From the tower
I frame in the traffic circle
My pickup truck at the bottom
Holding Alcatraz in the bay
Looking so peaceful

Late afternoon
Sun low and shadows long
The swim looks not too far
To Pier 39 in the calm blue waters
But none ever made it
