Point Imperial, Canyon, North Rim
Light falls
On an electric canvas
Strokes from a brush
Made of glass

Interpretations
Of a world made
From highlights
And shadows
Rendering texture
And line

All the light
Of a moment in time
Funnelled through glass
Shaped, directed
Manipulated
Abbreviated
Amplified

No mere recorder this
But an artist’s tool
Of creation

Discovering worlds
No one knew existed
Within the world
Everyone sees
But has never seen
