A canyon of brown and pine

Brown and pine made white

There is nothing quite like
A canyon of brown and pine
Turned white
Enveloped, still, in the grey storm
Passing through
Leaving its wintry gift

so it does snow in Cali. I stand corrected. Lovely image especially the frosted tree in the foreground and the way the land stretches out. A wintry gift indeed!

  Ooops! My bad! That should read Colorado!
  
  But it does snow in Cali. Quite a lot in the eastern mountains, The Sierras. Mammoth Mountain is a rather large and snowy ski area. : )

    Yes in the mountains but not so in areas south of that or not that I know.

      I’ve seen snow as far south as the southern approach to Death Valley, approaching Zabriskie Point. And at higher elevations, it has also been known to snow at Joshua Tree National Park.
