Beach Therapy

Beach Therapy
How many hours have I spent
Without lament
On ocean shores
Listening to waves crash down
And then recede

Still, not enough to be content
There’s many hours
Behind a desk
Or toiling at some project dear
Like on this laptop listening
For ancient words
To fill the page

How blissful life is on the sand
With onshore wind
And though I don’t accomplish much
There’s something to be said
For idleness
And salty air

A post inspired by Jennifer Nichole Wells’ One Word Photo Challenge, which this week is “Pick Your Own“… so I picked “Wind.”.
