Nature's Architects

Nature’s Architects

Nature’s architects
With little more than time and sand
A little wind, a spot of rain
Build great cities
Rife with ornament

Perhaps a little alien
Forms built by math
We don’t quite understand
And nature’s powers
Are not unsubtle

And still I must admit
The beauty and the style of it
Draws me into this compelling world
And makes me wonder if we could do
What nature does without a thought
