Kakadu in the summer, no — it’s fall — no, actually, spring

Kakadu
Travellers
We get confused about seasons

Like when we’re in Kakadu
And it’s October
Which is fall
Except it’s early spring
Yeah, spring in Australia

Waaay above the Tropic of Capricorn
So it’s over 40 degrees celsius
In the shade
Which is like waaay over 100 degrees
To the lone American on the tour

But there’s no shade
And we’ve just climbed a couple thousand feet
Over hot, hot rock
And our bodies insist

IT’S FUCKING STUPID HOT SUMMER IDIOTS!

So get back into some shade
Because no matter how spectacular
This view is
Our bodies are absolutely fried

Which explains
All the longsleeves
And hats
And shorts

But, then too
It’s fucking awesome to be here
So who cares what season it is?
Am I right, gang?
