Summer Haze

Summer Haze
In the summertime
The fires come
The forest is
Renewed

But even if
You’re nowhere near
The sky is filled
With smoke

The summer of 2015 was a helluva year for forest fires in British Columbia. The haze lingered for weeks, hundreds of miles from the fires which created the vast clouds of noxious smoke. Climate scientists agree the record fires are an effect of global warming which will most likely continue to trend towards disaster in coming years.
