I count the weeks, the months
Until I can be me
Just me, again

  Right now, the days are dominated by making television … long, intense hours.
  
  So, mid-December, when this show wraps, I should have a couple months of me. Just… me.

      <smile> No worries. It is the life I’ve chosen. And if I got nothing out of film making besides the money (which is good) I’d be out of it fast enough.

        I’ve had money and been happy.
        I’ve had money and not been happy.
        I’ve had no money and been happy.
        I’ve had no money and not been happy.
        
        Conclusion: happiness has nothing to do with money.

        I SO agree–though I’ve never had much money, I sensed early in life that it often caused folks more trouble than it brought JOY.

        Money buys a certain kind of freedom. Freedom in the form of shelter, food and tools for living.
        
        Happiness isn’t absolutely dependent on having those. (Though, it helps.)
        
        Beyond the basics — that is, so long as one is able to live one day to the next — happiness becomes a choice.
        
        People who are free from an attachment to things have an almost child-like grace and happiness.

        I agree with you, especially that money does buy certain freedoms–and that happiness is usually a choice we make.
