A beach without umbrellas

There are thousands of miles of beach
Where no parasols are erected
To shade blankets
Coolers
And the sunburned

Should a stray footfall land here or there
The waves will soon enough erase it
Without a thought
As the sea takes back the land
Which once had risen from it
