Little Jade Moth

Little jade moth
Flew in for a visit
Stayed for a day

Told no stories
Left only enigmas

Synchronicity?
Serendipity?
Chance?

No

Just
A little
Beauty

A jade moth doesn’t have to be anything else! I can’t say I’ve ever seen one, but if I do I’ll just admire it. Nice one.

  <smile> This poem is a reference to the time, back in 2009, that little moth came and visited me while on something of a spiritual quest in Australia. At the time, just about everything which came across my path had meaning, was important, bore insight. It was a beautiful time in my life, with a deep sense of connection to … everything. Even a little jade moth who flew in one day, landed on a wall in the home I was house-sitting, and stayed there for over 24 hours. I was curious enough to gently dislodge it from its perch on the wall. It took flight, did a couple laps of the room, then returned to its perch.
  
  At the time, I was considering whether to move on from beautiful Noosa, or stick around for a bit longer.
  
  I stuck around.
  
  It’s good to seek insight from the events and happenings in our lives, much the same way it’s good — for me anyway — to seek inspiration for words in the photographs I’ve taken.
  
  It’s also good to just enjoy the events, happenings and photographs just for themselves.
  
  It is a beautiful moth, afterall. : )
