The Kiss
Through the speaker
The sound of her voice
Entered my heart
With ambrosial grace and presence

Although there were many words
What I heard was home
And all I’ve wanted since
Is to kiss the lips which uttered it

Last weekend I happened across a sailboat in dry dock, under renovation. Fascinated by the way sanding the hull smooth had created patterns in layers of paint and fiberglass, I ran off a few dozen shots with my Canon. Fertile ground for abstraction, I think I’ll see how many images and words these will generate. This is the second.
